MARCH 24
The 1st tournament of the year proved to be a tough one for the field. Of the 58 boats, only 15 were able to weigh in a limit. The father and son team of Jimbo and Cody Tyndall took 1st place with 15.24, which was 3 pounds ahead of the nearest competitor. Paul King and Bradley Stain edged out Glen and Kyle Smith by .02 to claim 2nd place with 12.01. Joey Rouse and Tommy Williams weighed in the big fish of the tournament with a healthy 5.63 lb. bass. Congratulations to the winners!
MAY 19
The 2nd tournament of the year was much different than the March tournament. There was 30-40 limits and numerous 3+ pound fish brought to the scales. Thunderstorms loomed throughout the day on the 53 boat field. Randy and Jordan Brown topped the field with a 16.54 pound limit. Robin Bowen and Monte Morgan were 2nd with 15.30, and the team of Jason Taylor and Blake Lowell were 3rd with 15.19. Brian Boyd was close behind in 4th with 15.15 and won big fish with a bass weighing 5.55 pounds. Congratulations to the winners!

JUNE 02
The 3rd tournament of the year proved to be tough fishing for many of the 54 boat field. 90+ degree air temperature, and high muddy water in the Neuse were not ideal conditions. Jimbo and Cody Tyndall blew away the field with 16. 46, almost 4 pounds ahead of the 2nd place competitor, to collect their 2nd win of the year. Jesse and Jes Stilley were 2nd with 12.83 and Johnny Garris and Trey Tyson took home the 3rd place hardware with 12.63

June 09
High muddy water in the Neuse continued to be a bit of a problem for the 4th tournament of the year. The 46 boat field didn't even manage to weigh in 20 limits. For the 3rd time this year, and 2nd week in a row, Jimbo and Cody Tyndall took home the gold with a 12.71 limit. Eric and Garrett Brown were 2nd with 12.64 and Robin Bowen was 3rd with 11.90
July 21
The 5th tournament of the year started with light rain showers, NE winds, and low water in the Neuse. 30 of the 57 boats were able to weigh in limits. The top 7 places were separated by less than a pound with Monte Morgan and Robin Bowen edging out Jeremy Miller for the top spot with 5 fish weighing 13.72. Miller had a 5 fish limit weighing 13.71. Tony Leary took home 3rd with 13.57. Bobby Lassiter and Johnny Morton were 4th with 13.43. Steve Bishop and Zack Broom were 5th with 13.07. Brody Brown and Carl Whittington tied Glen and Kyle Smith for 6th with 12.81, but the tie was broken by Brown and Whittington's 4.17# big fish, the Smith's big fish was 3.91. Big fish Honors were taken home by Justin Coley and Ryan Rhodes with a lunker weighing 4.31.
August 4
With heavy rains leading up to the event, this proved to be a tough tournament for the 49 boat field. Al and Mark Kennedy bested the field with 12.37, Leo and Tim Jones were 2nd with 12.13, Jim Hipkiss and Rusty Brown were 3rd with 11.89 and big fish @ 4.25, Travis Mewborn and Jason Pittman were 4th with 11.76, Greg and Carl Milligan were 5th with 11.39, and Jeremy and Gerald Miller were 6th with 11.21
August 25
The last qualifier of the year brought tough conditions for the 49 boat field. High muddy waters in the Neuse didn't render the quality fish it is known for. Andy Little bested the field with 11.55, Dean Leitschuh was 2nd with 11.00. Al/Mark Kennedy were 3rd with 10.80, 4th was James Phillips and Shane Rojas with 10.58, 5th was Zeb West and Harold Herring with 10.38, and Greg and Carl Milligan were 6th with 10.18
March 29-30 **Championship**
The 2018 Classic saw beautiful Spring weather, but high river levels in the Neuse and low water in the Trent made tough conditions for most of the 36 boat field. But, several anglers were able to catch their limit both days and bring home some gold. Al and Mark Kennedy took home the win by .06 with a 2 day weight of 25.65. Jacob and Josh Brown were 2nd with 25.59. Nathaniel Drayton was 3rd with 24.94. Dennis Langston and Andra Wills were 4th with 24.42 and had day 1 big fish at 5.88#. Ricky Foss and Rick Foss Jr. rounded out the top 5 with 23.16. The complete results can be seen by clicking the tab below
