April 23- The first tournament of 2022 had some of the lowest weights we have since the trail started. The The water in the Neuse was rising from rains days before and also backing up from an East wind. Of the 43 boat field, only 17 boats had a 5 fish limit. Monte Morgan and Robin Bowen took the win with five fish weighing 14.55. The husband and wife team of Brian and Kim Boyd finished 2nd with 14.12. Jim Hipkiss and Rusty Brown finished 3rd with 14.03. Hipkiss and Brown also had the tournament big fish, 5.68. The father and son team of Eric and Garrett Brown finished 4th with 12.56. A solo angler, Jesse Stilley, rounded out the top five with 10.90.

May 7- The 2nd qualifier of 2022 had 45 boats and saw some quality fish brought to the scales. Billy Paderick and Jesse Grady took home the top spot by almost 2 pounds. They had 5 fish weighing 20.74 and a kicker fish weighing 6.12. Tom Warner took home 2nd place honors with a limit of bass weighing 18.85. The father/son teams of Jason/Chase Theis and Eric/Garrett Brown finished 3rd and 4th with 17.38 and 14.47. Brody Brown and Carl Whittington rounded out the top 5 with 14.33. The father/son team of Jacob and Rhett Brown weighed in a beautiful bass weighing 6.40 to take home the big fish trophy. In all, there were 27 limits, 2 fish weighing over 6 pounds, and 7 fish over 5 pounds.

June 4- 41 boats fished the third tournament of the 2022 season. Johnny Morton and John Taylor blew away the competition with five bass weighing 19.14. Andy Little finished 2nd with 12.96. The father/son team of Brian Briesemeister and Brian Briesemeister Jr. finished third with 10.79. Big fish honors went to the team of Dennis Boykin and Brandon Galloway with a bass weighing 4.49.

July 9- The fourth qualifier of the 2022 season was met with rising waters in the Neuse. Of the 40 boats that competed in the tournament, 22 weighed in a limit of bass. Brock Rouse and Parker Mills took home the gold with five fish weighing 17.86. They also had the big fish of the tournament with a 6.65 pound bass. The father/son team of Jason and Chase Theiss finished 2nd with 16.86. Austin King and Ryan King took home the last trophy with 15.65

August 6- The final qualifier of the 2022 season had 39 boats. 20 of the 39 boats weighed in a 5 fish limit. Congratulations Billy Paderick and Jesse Grady for taking home their 2nd win of the year with a beautiful bag of bass weighing 22.58. Their bag was anchored with a 5.76 pound bass. Brody Brown and Carl Whittington finished 2nd with 17.95. Austin and Ryan King finished 3rd with 16.67. Austin and Ryan also had the big fish of the tournament with a 6.54 pound bass, narrowly edging out the teams of Nathaniel Drayton/Paul Bedford (6.52) and Dickie/Ryan Killinger (6.50).
Eric and Garrett Brown retained their lead for the 2022 Points Championship edging out Brody Brown and Carl Whittington by 2 points. Congratulations Eric and Garrett on the Points Championship and to all of the winners in 2022!
