May 15- The second qualifier of the 2021 season started out with chilly 43 degree temperatures. The cool morning did not stop the 49 boat field from catching a pile of fish. 32 of the 49 boats weighed in a limit. Even though the anglers were successful in catching fish, weights were pretty low and very tight and one key bite made a huge difference in separating our top boats. The difference from first to sixth was only a pond and a half. Brock Rouse and Parker Mills took home 1st place with 5 fish weighing 14.86. 2nd place belonged to Andy Little with 14.35 and a kicker weighing 6.34. June 5- The 3rd tournament of the 2021 season was a tough one, and some anglers said "it was down right miserable." Midweek heavy rains caused the Neuse to be on a rapid rise with water levels rising over a foot and a half from Friday to Saturday morning. Of the forty-five boat field, only 15 boats were able to weigh in five fish limit and there were only seven boats with over ten pounds. The rising and muddy water did not stop Monte Morgan from catching a great bag of fish. Monte finished 1st with five fish weighing 16.56 and the big fish for the tournament weighing 5.30. Jesse Grady and Billy Paderick finished 2nd with 15.78. Randy Rhoderick and Rodney Caldwell finished 3rd with 13.90. The father/son duo of Eric and Garrett Brown finished 4th with 11.52. Jordan Brown and Brandon Howard rounded out the top five with 10.59. Full results can be seen by clicking the tab below.
